Lent Day 5: The Lion

Colour light brown representing the Lion.

Colour red representing blood on the doorposts protecting the people inside the house.




Lent Day 7: The Prayer

Colour grey representing Hannah’s barrenness.

Colour green representing the Cedar trees.  Solomon procured cedar timber to build the Temple in Jerusalem.

Colour light purple representing a King – royalty.


Sunday 21st  February 2016

Sunday representing the sun. Yellow is the brightest colour of all colours. It is bright to engage and draw us to it.

Chrissie's Lent Blanket Week 1

Chrissie’s Lent Blanket

Crochet Pattern – Block stitch.

Yarn used any good quality 8ply Acrylic yarn

Main colours 2 different purples the colour of lent & white the colour of perfection and purity.



Instructions - Australian/English terms used.

Chain 141
Row 1: dc  into 2nd stitch from the hook continue to end in dc.
Row 2: chain 3, treble stitch into first dc from previous row and continue to end of the row
Rows 3: – 7 continue working in treble stitch working in the letters.
Row 8:  Treble to the end
Row 9  dc  into 70 trebles (from previous row) increase 1 stitch then work dc to end of row.
Row 10  Start block stitch pattern.
